Energy & Gas Prices: John Sununu Supports Bush's Disastrous Energy Policies That Are Hurting New Hampshire Families

John Sununu has marched in lock step with George Bush's disastrous energy policies that put oil and gas companies first and are hurting New Hampshire families. Sununu has accepted over $232,000 from oil and gas companies, and in return, he votes to protect billions in tax breaks for Big Oil.

  • Last December, John Sununu cast the deciding vote to protect $13 billion in tax breaks for oil and gas companies instead of investing in renewable energy. [1]
  • And just this June, Sununu voted again to protect $17 billion in tax breaks for oil and gas companies instead of investing in renewable energy. [2]
  • Sununu has accepted $232,030 in campaign cash from Big Oil, and in return, he stands with George Bush and puts oil and gas companies ahead of New Hampshire families that are hurting with $4 per gallon gas. [3]
  • New Hampshire families are worried about paying for heating oil this winter, but John Sununu has voted against funding for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) seven times. [4]

Sununu stands with George Bush and the oil and gas industry while New Hampshire families are struggling to pay over $4 per gallon at the pump. Sununu's support for Bush energy policies hurts New Hampshire families and makes the problem worse. But nothing will change until we change senators.
