Economy: Sununu Marches in Lock Step with Bush Economic Policies
John Sununu has marched in lock step with George Bush's diastrous economic polices that are hurting New Hampshire families. Middle class New Hampshire families are struggling to make ends meet under the Bush-Sununu economy, and John Sununu is just part of the problem:
- Sununu voted in favor of every single Bush budget that put corporations and special interests ahead of New Hampshire families. [1]
- Sununu has voted eight against raising the minimum wage for working New Hampshire families, and at the same time he has voted to raise his own congressional pay six times. [2]
- Sununu voted three times this summer to raise taxes on New Hampshire teachers and families struggling to afford college instead of closing an offshore tax loophole for hedge fund managers. [3]
- Sununu voted to raise the debt ceiling seven times, helping Bush run up a record $9.4 trillion national debt that our children will be paying off for years. [4]
- Despite his campaign promises, Sununu voted to protect tax breaks for companies that send jobs overseas, costing our country jobs. [5]
John Sununu has supported Bush's economic policies at every turn, and it's hurting New Hampshire families. But nothing's going to change until we change senators.
